The Application
Expense Tracker helps You record income and expenses, organise them into cashbooks, set budgets, track debts and view reports. It needs no account or server, and it stores Your data only on Your Device.
Licence
We grant You a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Application on devices You own or control, for Your own personal or business record-keeping. You may not copy, modify, resell, reverse engineer or redistribute the Application, except where the law allows it.
If You downloaded the Application from the Apple App Store, Your use is also subject to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement. If You downloaded it from Google Play, Your use is also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service. Apple and Google are not parties to these Terms and are not responsible for the Application or its support. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of its agreement and may enforce it against You.
Your Data
- Everything You enter stays on Your Device. We do not receive, store or back up Your data.
- You are responsible for keeping Your Device secure and for exporting backups if You want to keep a copy. Deleting the Application, or losing or resetting Your Device, can permanently delete Your data, and We cannot recover it.
- Backup files You export contain Your financial records. Keep them somewhere safe.

Automatic Logging
Automatic Logging is optional and off by default.
- On Android, it reads SMS messages and notifications from the senders and apps You allow, after You grant the permissions.
- On iPhone, it receives only the messages that a Shortcuts automation You create passes to it, plus any message You copy and paste into the Application. You are responsible for setting up, changing or removing that automation in Apple's Shortcuts app.
Automatic Logging reads messages written by banks, mobile money providers and other third parties, whose formats can change without notice. Amounts, merchants, categories and dates it produces may be wrong or missing, and some messages may not be logged at all. Review automatically logged entries, and do not rely on them as Your only record of a transaction.
Not Financial Advice
The Application is a record-keeping tool. Budgets, reports and other figures it shows are based on the information You enter or that Automatic Logging captures, and are provided for information only. They are not financial, tax, accounting or legal advice. Check important figures against Your bank or mobile money statements.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Application to break any law, to record information You have no right to process, or to interfere with the Application's normal operation.
Third-Party Services
The Application works with services We do not control, such as Your Device's operating system, Apple Shortcuts, app stores, and the banks and mobile money providers whose messages You choose to log. Their own terms apply to Your use of them, and We are not responsible for their availability or behaviour.
Disclaimer
The Application is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or uninterrupted operation, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for any loss of data, profits or savings, arising from Your use of or inability to use the Application, including losses caused by inaccurate automatically logged entries. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Changes
We may update the Application and these Terms from time to time. When We change these Terms, We will update the "Last updated" date above. Continuing to use the Application after a change means You accept the updated Terms.
Ending These Terms
You can stop using the Application at any time by deleting it. We may end Your licence if You break these Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ghana, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
